Andrew Wells, Director & Doc Porter         

Andy graduated from Mount Ararat High School in Topsham, Maine and studied Fine Arts at Hofstra University in New York.  During a community theatre performance on Long Island, he met his wife who persuaded him to return with her to Missouri.  They joined the theatre group in 2001 and have been very active ever since.  Andy has served as President of the group and is currently an Artistic Advisor.  Among his numerous rolls, he has played “Mortimer” in Arsenic & Old Lace, “Chance” in Ghost of a Chance, & “Reinfeld” in Dracula.  He has also directed Arsenic & Old Lace, Death Knocks, Wagner’s in the Tub & Sociability.  He & his wife, Angie, have 2 sons, Jackson is 4 & Jude is 1.

Angie Wells, Lenny Magrath                                                                                        Angie graduated from Santa Fe High School and has a BA is History from CW Post University on Long Island.  After moving back to her home area with her husband, she opened her own travel agency, which she still operates today.  Some of her favorite roles include “M’lynn” in Steel Magnolias, “Lucy” in Dracula, & “Elaine” in Arsenic & Old Lace.  She is currently serving her first term as President of the MCT.  Angie enjoys the theatre almost as much as she enjoys being a mom to Jack & Jude!

Nicole Rodriguez, Meg Magrath                                                                                   Nicole is a native of Columbia, MO.  She is in her 3rd year teaching English as a Second Language in Benton, Southeast, Eastwood, & Northwest Elementary Schools.   Nicole spent 1 ½ years as a missionary in Ecuador.  Nicole’s debut with the MCT was stage manager for Arsenic & Old Lace this Spring, but this is her first time onstage with us!  She is currently the Secretary.  We are thrilled she has joined our group.

Renee Powell, Babe Magrath                                                                                          High school teacher by day, actor by night - Renee Powell has been a member of Marshall Community Theatre since 1998. She has been involved in several productions including Harvey, Southern Fried Murder, and The Crazy Quilt Club. Renee would like to dedicate her performance to her three children: Bethany, Derek, and Maggie who always make her smile.

Pam Deutsch, Chick Boyles                                                                                             Dr. Pam has been with MCT since 1986, and has been in "lots and lots of productions, hoping someday to get it right!  Marshall Community Theatre has given me the chance to fulfill a lifelong dream of being on stage and hopefully being able to make people laugh.  Our faithful patrons are the reason we work so hard to present quality productions and we appreciate you so much!  I have had the pleasure of working with the greatest group of people who over the years have become the best friends you could ask for."

Ed Ballenger, Barnette Lloyd

Ed graduated from Northwest High School where he was very active in the Speech & Drama Team, receiving numerous medals at the State Level.  He attended State Fair Community College where he was involved in several productions including the Children’s Production of Trouble in Pittsville; he played Mr Seiko in Teahouse of the August Moon, and Officer Kelly in Musical Comedy Murder of 1940s.  His MCT debut was this Spring in Arsenic & Old Lace playing the role of Officer O’hara.  He has been employed with Kays Engineering for 9 years and married to his wife, Eleanor for 6 years.

Penny King, Stage Manager                                                                                         Penny has been a member of Marshall Community Theatre since the fall of 1992.  She has directed such plays as The Odd Couple-Female Version, Cooking with Guss, 12 Angry Men and Dracula.  She has appeared in Steel Magnolias, Having a Wonderful Time…Wish you were Her, Claptrap & many others.  She has been the Vice President & now serves as Artistic Director.  She lives in Marshall with her husband Hobby & her daughter Holly, who is currently majoring in Technical Theatre at Missouri Valley College.
